This week saw the annual staging of the Magic User Group conference in Birmingham. This event was attended by over 100 representatives from Magic based software companies. This included a number of key personnel in the Genesis Development team. The Magic User Group is a non profit making organisation that is made up of Magic based Software Houses and Developers. Magic is the flexible development environment that Genesis has been written in. The main focus of the event was to provide a technical forum on some of the new features available in the latest version of Magic. The event also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with other developers, and to quiz representatives of Magic Software. Russell Burden, a senior developer of Genesis commented, "It is always important that we look towards new advances in technology to enhance our systems. Today has demonstrated a number of new ways in which we can exploit Magic so we can pass on new benefits to our customers". [<<Back to news stories]
