Genesis has been designed for a GUI Windows environment. The database will run on a Windows NT/2000/2003 or Novell Server. Our experienced team will handle the entire installation process. This will normally begin with setting up a User Acceptance Test (UAT) and a live environment. At this stage data migration will also be carried out so that clients can begin to test the authenticity of any data that has been transferred from existing systems. Once these environments have been established the client is then free to carry out testing and gain familiarisation with the product. During this time the normal support services are available to the client so that any technical queries can be answered. This period of testing will typically last between 1 and 3 months.
When the client is satisfied that the software is fully functional and additional developments are complete a go live schedule will be agreed. The Go Live procedure will normally involve migrating data to the live environment and preparing the software for use. As part of the package SIS will provide an experience member of the team to assist during the first few days.
Our skilled team will be happy to help with selection of hardware and operating systems. Our experience with previous installations allows us to make accurate recommendations for the specifications of hardware. Our capacity planning means that you can expect to get the maximum performance from Genesis now and in the future.
Because of our partnership approach to working we are able to collaborate with other hardware and software solution providers which means you can keep your existing IT support structure. If you have your own IT department we can work closely with them too. Our partnership approach also extends to third party application integration, with our links with Sage, Pegasus and Access Accounts for example.
