Their core offering Genesis provides complete control of the entire business process from the creation of a business enquiry, processing the order right through to generating the invoice. At the front-end of Genesis is a powerful and flexible sales and marketing database. Every part of the sales process, contact management, telemarketing, leads tracking, prospect management and sales analysis is handled in a fast and efficient sales-driven environment. Key to the success of Genesis however is the recognition that no two companies are identical and whilst common functions can be shared across systems, solutions in this environment must have the ability to be tailored and enhanced to meet exact customer specifications.
Magic's flexible integration technology meant that integrating Genesis into the existing financial system was a relatively simple task. Genesis was also tailored to include support for serialisation and bar-coding. This enabled Realtime Distribution to use data from intelligent remote scanners, used in the warehouse to ensure fast and efficient stock control, to feed into the sales stock allocation database providing Realtime data to the telesales staff. In addition it also means stock levels can now be kept at an optimum level ensuring that Realtime don't miss out on sales because of a no stock situation and that stock levels are not kept too high, tying up cash and costing money.
Today over 50 users have access to the new client/server solution that runs on Windows 2000. Telesales personnel are able to see in an instant whether stock that is required by their customers is available and allocate it immediately. Distribution staff can concentrate on getting orders out on time, without being distracted by manual stock allocation requests. Once the order is processed the invoices are issued automatically without delay.

Using Magic's technology SIS is able to work closely with Realtime to continue to develop a software solution which meets the challenges of today's business environment.
